Australian tennis player Mark Philippoussis has got engaged and fiancee Alexis Barbara is making sure everyone knows about it.

The large diamond ring features a gold band and a huge diamond, in between two smaller diamonds.

Ms Barbara was seen sporting the jewellery at a recent tennis tournament in California.

The ring is said to be worth $200,000, but Mr Philippoussis has told the 18 year old not to talk about the ring.

"He told me not to say anything. I can't do anything to show you," Ms Barbara said.

The star, who dated Delta Goodrem, Paris Hilton, Tara Reid and Anna Kournikova, simply said: "She likes to wear nice jewellery on an important finger."
