US jeweller showcases work during visit home

Wednesday, 9th March 2005 (4116 views)

A US fashion show saw a jewellery designer return to her original home this week.

Jewellery designer, Lillian Ostergard, attended the Oscar de la Renta fashion show in Jacksonville, showcasing some of her work.

Ms Ostergard worked at Christie's Auction House for ten years, then moved onto the Vendura jewellery company for eight years, according to the Jax Daily Record.

Her own jewellery company Lillian H Ostergard has been running for eight years now and is proving a big success.

"I've been interested in jewellery and design for a long time," she said.

A friend had asked the designer to take part in the event, so she donated a pearl necklace.

Ms Ostergard's jewellery is always made from 18 carat yellow or white gold or platinum, with a big focus on animals and nature.

Items include rings, necklaces and brooches and the jeweller likes to add humour to her items and colour, with prices ranging from $1,000 to $15,000.track
