Prince removes Diana's wedding ringTuesday, 8th March 2005 (6618 views) The gold wedding ring, signifying the marriage of the Prince of Wales and Princess Diana, will no longer feature on the hands of the Prince.According to reports, the royal ring has now been removed from Prince Charles' finger, after he was photographed yesterday for the first time not wearing the gold item. Camilla Parker Bowles, the Prince's fiancee has also removed her plain gold band wedding ring from her previous marriage to Andrew Parker Bowles. The Prince did remove his wedding ring after his divorce but began wearing it after the death of the Princess of Wales in 1997. A courtier told the Times: "It is natural and logical that when they marry they will not be wearing rings from their previous marriages. They both felt that the time was right to do it now." Ms Parker Bowles will be wearing a wedding ring made from a nugget of Welsh gold when she marries the Prince, keeping in line with Royal tradition.
