Indian jeweller Tanishq has created a special jewellery collection to commemorate International Women's Day.

The collection claims to celebrate the spirit of today's women and hopes to meet the various accessory needs of women today, whilst still expressing personality and individuality.

Ruchira Puri, Tanishq's head of category, design & marketing commented: "The Woman's Day special edition is an interesting collection and combination of jewellery pieces consisting of diamonds set in platinum and gold.

"This elegant and beautiful edition expresses the many moods of a woman and compliments her inherent beauty, strength and style. This edition is a tribute to women and our way of connecting and complimenting women across the country."

Women's Day takes place on March 8th and items launched in line with the occasion will include necklaces, chains, earrings and rings, according to Indian Television.
