Actors and actresses are to receive more than just awards at this year's Oscars.

As well as the luxury goodie bags given out at the event, the Hollywood stars are rumoured to be receiving large amounts of money to wear particular jewellery and clothes on the night.

According to Herald Sun, some actresses are being paid over $100,000 to wear some jewellery.

Cate Blanchett's stylist, Jessica Paster, commented: "We are going to reach a point when no one is going to want to wear anything until they get the money.

"It's all business - that's why you are not going to see what you used to seven years ago on the red carpet. It's all endorsements and, at the end of the day when you have money involved, it's not organic."
