Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles' wedding rings are to be made using gold from North Wales, as was suspected.

According to the Herald, gold from the Clogau St David's mine in Bontddu will be used to create the rings, keeping with Royal tradition.

Wedding bands for the pair are being made to a traditional design, by London jewellery company Wartski.

The news follows the announcement that Charles and Camilla will be married in a civil ceremony at Windsor town hall rather than Windsor Castle.

The new venue means people will be able to see the Royal couple arrive and leave and was chosen due to licensing issues at the castle.
