US actress Halle Berry is to set impress at this year's Academy Awards.

This year, Ms Berry will be walking down the red carpet in nothing less than $1 million worth of footwear.

The Hollywood star has been given a pair of diamond-encrusted shoes by LA designer Stuart Weitzman, on loan for the special occasion.

Mr Weitzman is well known for his unique trademark shoe material, including 24 carat gold, vinyl, cork and wallpaper.

Ms Berry is one of around a dozen presenters for this year's awards which is set to air on February 27th.

The star has featured in films including Catwoman, Monsters Ball and Die Another Day.
