Sales up for SignetThursday, 3rd February 2005 (4163 views) Signet has released its fourth quarter results today, reporting a 6.1 per cent rise in total sales.The world's largest speciality retail jeweller also saw like for like group sales increase by 3.6 per cent over the 13 weeks to January 29th. Terry Burman, group chief executive, commented: "The group had a strong year again, significantly outperforming its main competition. "The UK business increased like for like sales by 1.4 per cent in the fourth quarter despite demanding comparatives and a difficult retail environment." Signet has 1,758 speciality retail jewellery stores including Kay Jewelers, H Samuel, Ernest Jones and Leslie Davis.
