Tanishq proves a hit on the catwalkWednesday, 26th January 2005 (6103 views) Indian jeweller Tanishq has taken to the catwalk this week, producing a special jewellery collection for top fashion designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee.Items created included necklaces such as coloured gems strung in gold wire across necklines and hanging from fingers, according to India News. The fashion show was a total replica of a show held in Milan, which was praised for its originality. The jewellery, used with distressed clothing, helped to highlight special stitching, quilting and prints. Limited edition pieces from the ethnic trinket collection included anklets, bangles, finger filling rings and necklaces. The association of a fashion designer with jewellery firms is becoming more common in India, with watch company Titan teaming up with designer Rohit Bal for a series of watches.
