Signet reports increased salesThursday, 13th January 2005 (4338 views) Signet Group, the world's largest speciality retail jeweller, has announced increased sales for the nine weeks to 1st January.Like-for-like sales increased 3.7 per cent over the festive period, and consolidated Signet's strong recent growth. Expected profits are likely to be between £209 million and £215 million. Signet reported robust sales on both sides of the Atlantic. Much of this success was attributed to the fact that a greater number of diamonds were included as part of the sales mix. Signet operates 605 stores in the UK, trading under the H.Samuel, Ernest Jones and Leslie Davis marques.
