Signet Group, the world's largest speciality retail jeweller, has announced increased sales for the nine weeks to 1st January.<br/><br/>Like-for-like sales increased 3.7 per cent over the festive period, and consolidated Signet's strong recent growth.<br/><br/>Expected profits are likely to be between £209 million and £215 million.<br/><br/>Signet reported robust sales on both sides of the Atlantic.<br/><br/>Much of this success was attributed to the fact that a greater number of diamonds were included as part of the sales mix.<br/><br/>Signet operates 605 stores in the UK, trading under the H.Samuel, Ernest Jones and Leslie Davis marques.<img src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=7556922"/>
