Zale Corporation has announced that it has appointed a new president for its Zales Jewelers business.

Paul Leonard has already started his new role and will report to the president and CEO Mary Forte.

Ms Forte told National Jeweler: "Paul is a talented merchant with a proven track record that includes the successful turnaround at Piercing Pagoda.

"Now, his leadership, experience and energy will be used to help us achieve our goals for Zales Jewelers."

Zales has retail stores and online shopping facilities. It offers gold jewellery including bracelets, charms, necklaces, earrings, wedding bands, wheat chains, two-tone anklets and bead and bar items.
