A special pen has been launched by diamond company Le Lumiere, made from gold and diamonds.

The luxury item has been launched by tennis players Venus and Serena Williams in Hong Kong, according to Diamonds.net.

Named the 'Hearts and Arrows Diamond Pen', the writing instrument features a 0.10 carat to 1.0 carat hearts and arrows diamond.

The upper barrel of the pen is made from 18-carat white gold and holds the stone.

Already patented in 107 countries, the pen is the first of its kind and prices start at $500.

The item is targeted at both men and women and comes with a certificate and Le Lumiere inscription.

Pens will be available on the global jewellery retail market once the company has selected exclusive distributors.
