Hollywood heartthrob Jude Law has left female fans heartbroken, after a Christmas Day proposal to girlfriend Sienna Miller.

The actor proposed with a big cluster diamond ring and, according to The Sun, 23-year-old Sienna did not hesitate in accepting the proposal.

Ciara Parks, speaking on behalf of the couple, confirmed the engagement and said: "It's true, they are engaged. Jude bought Sienna a big cluster diamond ring."

Law, who was born in Lewisham in south-east London, reportedly spent months planning the proposal. He set off to the Seychelles with his new fiancee and children on Boxing Day.

The actor already has three children from his six-year relationship with Sadie Frost, but according to reports his ex-wife is happy about the marriage proposal, saying she is "delighted" for the acting pair.

The couple met on the set of Alfie in 2003. According to their spokesperson, no date has been set for the wedding, which will depend on their future shooting schedules.
