The first New York jewellery conference, being held by Manufacturing Jewelers & Suppliers of America (MJSA), has been planned to take place next March.

The event will be the first by the group and will be held at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York on March 5th, according to National Jeweler.

Three educational sessions will make up the event and will discuss technology, artistic resources and business strategies from the world of jewellery.

In addition, the impact celebrities have on the jewellery industry will be a key issue at the expo and a special presentation on the subject will begin the conference.

Various presentations for members of the jewellery sector will also form part of the event.
