Dubai jewellery show a 'record-breaker'Tuesday, 7th December 2004 (4359 views) The 10th International Jewellery Dubai (IJD) 2004 exhibition, which opened yesterday, looks set to become a record breaker, reports IDEX Online.According to show organisers, the number of exhibitors has doubled to 454 from 225 last year, while the floor space of the exhibition has jumped from 5,000 sq. metres last year to 8,311 sq. metres. Christina Nicholson, spokeswomen for the Dubai World Trade Centre where the exhibition is being held, stated: "As the figures indicate IJD has grown tremendously in stature."It is now set to take its place among the premier shows serving the jewellery trade on the world stage." The Dubai Gold and Jewellery Group is hosting a pavilion at the fair with the aim of promoting the region as a manufacturing centre and not just a trading forum.Other exhibitors include Aspeco, Livingstone, Rosy Blue, Supergems, Tache, Graff, Pasquale Bruni, Scavia and Tiffany & Co.
