Thursday, 11th November 2004 (5622 views) A new report by comScore Networks has claimed that the amount spent on watches and jewellery online this season is set to increase by 67 per cent, compared to last year.<BR/><BR/>According to National Jeweler, the company is a global consulting business, which analyses consumer behaviour and the effect on marketing and sales.<BR/><BR/>Dan Hess, comScore's senior vice president, commented: "We believe consumers' growing familiarity and confidence with online shopping, coupled with a dramatic increase in broadband penetration and continuing efforts by retailers to simplify the shopping process across channels, will translate to substantial gains for online merchants again this year."<BR/><BR/>Figures in the study suggest that online jewellery and watch sales during the Christmas period will reach $739 million in 2004, compared to $443 million last year.<img src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=7035753"/>
