The first private enterprise to produce gold bars has been set up in Vietnam.

Bao Tin Minh Chau Jewellery Company is one of the largest enterprises in trading and processing gold, silver and gemstone products.

Experts hope that the bars will have a positive impact on the country's market, according to VNA.

At present there are two state-owned companies in the area producing the bars - Sai Gon Jewellery and the Jewellery Company of the Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development.

Bao Tin Minh Chau's products have been commended for their high quality and its prices have been labelled as the domestic standard.
