Surendra Gupta, chairman and managing director of Aerens Gold Souk International told Indo Asian News Service: "So far around 65 percent of the souk's retail space has been leased out or sold with about 70 retailers including 35 major national and international brands set to start business when we open for retail operations." The souk will have branded jewellery and established names in the sector from areas such as Jaipur, Kolkata and Mumbai. Aerens claims that the gold souk "will provide jewellers opportunity to expand without investing too much into real estate development".
