Golden sales results at watch and jewellery showTuesday, 19th October 2004 (4170 views) The 17th MidEast Watch and Jewellery Show has been named a success, after on-site sales reach over $27 million.Running for five days, the event saw more than 200 exhibitors from 20 countries and sales did not include business leads received by exhibitors during the show. The expo has a mix of gold jewellery displays, watches and different kinds of tools used in the sector, according to AME Info. Diamond jewellery in particular did well, as the middle class in the UAE becomes increasingly conscious of its value and guarantee. In addition, people continued to show their confidence in and love of gold at the show. Among the companies taking part, that all said they were satisfied with the number and quality of visitors, were UAE-based Cougar Jewellery, Al Anwaar Golden Jewellers, Azar Jewelers and Salem Al Shuebi Jewellery.
