Tuesday, 12th October 2004 (5850 views) The event known for its jewellery art diversity - 'Jewels of India', is set to take place this weekend.<BR/><BR/>In its sixth year, the leading jewellery retail exhibition in India is set to display a host of gold, diamonds and fine jewellery.<BR/><BR/>Expoworld convener Sandeep Bekal told the Times of India: "Last year we had a record number of 60,000 visitors for the exhibition. This year, we expect the number to go up. Overseas jewellery is a big attraction this time."<BR/><BR/>This year the event will be held in the Kanteerava Indoor Stadium and will showcase work by more than 100 top jewellers.<BR/><BR/>As well as a foreign section, the exhibition will feature regional pieces, such as handcrafted gold jewellery from Kolkata and antique temple jewellery from Tamil Nadu.<BR/><BR/>The exhibition will run from October 16 to October 19.<img src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=3596499"/>
