The Dubai Gold & Jewellery Group has revealed it is taking part in and sponsoring the Dubai Shopping Festival for 2005.

Taking place in January to February next year, the event is the 10th edition and will see the highest amount of sponsors it has ever had, according to AME Info.

H.H. Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum said: "At the outset let us acknowledge the efforts put in by everyone involved in making the DSF a major success over the years.

"This wouldn't have been possible without the trust and support of our key sponsors and patrons who have been associated with us from day one. I take this opportunity to thank them all for their co-operation and hard work that has become synonymous with the DSF success story."

The event was announced by H.H. Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, president of the Dubai Department of Civil Aviation, chairman of Emirates Group and the chairman of DSF Supreme Committee.

According to Sheikh Ahmed, the event has helped to attract global visitors and encouraged people to invest more in the UAE.
