Gold tie on display as world's most expensiveFriday, 24th September 2004 (6873 views) A tie worth Rs 1 crore has gone on display in India, showcased as the world's most expensive tie.The item was created by Indian diamond jewellery firm Ishi's and is made of pure silk and 150 grams of white gold. According to Fibre2Fashion, the item is on display in Punjab Jewellers until tomorrow and was unveiled by a well-known local model. The tie runs with the theme of 'One world - with a diamond for everybody and for every occasion'. Some shoppers will be allowed to wear the tie and have their pictures taken with it and there will also be contests held based on the item.
