Friday, 24th September 2004 (4559 views)

This year's Bijorcha show in Paris has proved even more popular with over 18,000 jewellery industry professionals attending.

Held in Paris, the trade fair took place on September 3-6 and experienced an attendance rise of 8.3 per cent.

The show represented a combination of two trade fairs - Eclat de Mode and Montres et Bijoux featuring a host of gold jewellery, watches and a mix of costume and designer pieces.

Figures from the show indicate that around 16 per cent of retailers attended to purchase gold jewellery, out of a total of 5,080 buyers.

According to National Jeweler, the show also looked at upcoming jewellery trends such as men's jewellery and round shaped and curved pieces.
