Florida set for jewellery show

Monday, 6th September 2004 (4194 views)

A Bead, Jewelry & Art & Extravaganza, billed by organisers as a "dynamic and exciting" event, is set to be held in Havana, Florida next month.

The event, to be held on October 9th and 10th at The Planter's Exchange, a designated National Landmark, is expected to attract thousands of bead connoisseurs, jewellery lovers and art collectors.

The shopping district in the area has a plethora of gifts and collectibles, antiques, spectacular art and vintage clothing, plus two antiquarian bookstores and much more, organisers say.

The show will have on display a variety of beads, including handmade ones, and jewellery made especially for the collector, directly from the artists who make them.

For those who wish to design and make their own, there are also sellers of unusual beads and other supplies for making jewellery.

Havana is located a short drive from the State Capital of Florida, Tallahassee.
