Sales increase at Sterling JewelersFriday, 6th August 2004 (4086 views) The US division of the UK-based Signet Group has revealed that its comparable store sales saw a 6.8 per cent increase for the second quarter.In addition for the first six months the company reported 8.2 per cent growth in its comparable store sales. Terry Burman, Signet Group chief executive told Professional Jeweler: "The group continued to perform well in the second quarter a strong result in a changeable retail environment." Additional figures showed that total group sales in the second quarter increased by 8.7 per cent. Among the stores included under the Sterling group are Kay Jewelers and Jared The Galleria of Jewelry, as well as regional stores.
