Jewellery exports on the up in IsraelThursday, 5th August 2004 (3944 views) Israel's jewellery exports experienced a considerable increase in June and the first half of the year.Key areas that led to the export growth were gold jewellery and precious stone set jewellery. The figures show that gold jewellery exports to the US and the UK increased by 76 per cent and five per cent respectively. In addition exports to Thailand, Italy and Russia rose by four per cent, 3.6 per cent and two per cent accordingly. According to IDEX Online results also showed that exports totalled $170 million during the period and 55 per cent of the exported items was gold jewellery.
