Bollywood beauty brings out the goldTuesday, 27th July 2004 (4710 views) Bollywood star turned Rajya Sabha MP, Hema Malini, has launched a new bangle collection of gold and diamonds.The new range, dubbed 'Vallaya', is a unique collection of 12 exquisite bangles crafted in 18k yellow gold and studded with diamonds, News Today, India, reports. The innovative bangles feature an in-built mechanism within the jacket that can accommodate seven different interchangeable colours and will retail in India for around Rs 32,000. Hema attended an official launch of the jewellery at the Hammer Plus Jewellery hut. Hammer Plus managing director Sucheta Khandwala said: "We have designed Vallaya keeping in mind the changing face of the Indian women in this present age." Hema 'Dreamgirl' Malini also recently took part in a six-hour visit to promote a nationwide campaign by jewellery major Tanishq, aimed at educating customers about the purity of gold in ornaments that they buy. She urged consumers to check their gold jewellery using Tanishq's new karatmeters.
