US consumers are finding a new way to remember their loved ones - with jewellery, according to The News-Gazette.<BR/><BR/>US funeral home owner Greg Hankey discovered the new trend at a recent convention and found many people are choosing gold or silver jewellery made from thumb prints of the deceased.<BR/><BR/>Known as 'Thumbies' the gold and metal medallions have been made by a company called Fox River Grove and are not the only jewellery on offer for grieving consumers. <BR/><BR/>In addition cremation jewellery which has hollowed openings to hold a small amount of cremated ashes are also popular.<BR/><BR/>Typical items of choice include necklaces, cufflinks and key chains and similar items can be made for their living loved ones too.<img src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=3060396"/>
