Thursday, 8th July 2004 (6418 views) Fine jewellery manufacturer Degem Bhd says it is experiencing a strong growth in sales and is confident of its outlook in the gold and diamond market.<BR/><BR/>The firm, which is focused largely on gold and diamonds, is anticipating growth of around 20 per cent for its turnover this year.<BR/><BR/>A newly expanded network of retail outlets and higher consumer demand are expected to boost profits.<BR/><BR/>"The group saw steady growth in turnover in the past few years. We see profit rising accordingly," executive director Paul Chong told The Star.<BR/><BR/>"This year, DeGem will open at least two more outlets - one in Damansara and another in Shah Alam," he went on. "We will invest an average of RM2mil for each outlet."<BR/><BR/>DeGem already boasts 20 outlets in Malaysia, with overseas stores now a possibility.<img src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=2987407"/>
