Gems and jewellery to debut at New York ExpoFriday, 11th June 2004 (3873 views) Next year's Expo New York will include a gem and jewellery display according to reports.The flagship trade show of Manufacturing Jewelers & Suppliers of America (MJSA) is set to debut the MJSA Gems & Jewelry Showcase in 2005, in a move that will boost the number of buyers and exhibitors. James F. Marquart, MJSA president/CEO told Professional Jeweler: "The trade addition of the showcase will enhance Expo New York's reputation as a premier venue for tools and equipment, component parts, gemstones and finished jewellery. "Finished jewellery and gem dealers will now have an exclusive hall and exquisite surroundings. Equipment and supply exhibitors will have more room to display their products And buyers will have an even greater selection from which to choose." The expo is the largest US trade show dedicated to jewellery manufacturing and has been running since 1968. Next year's expansion will also allow for live demonstrations of equipment and processes.
