Richemont predicts positive sales futureThursday, 10th June 2004 (3815 views) Swiss group Richemont has released its full year sales figures and suggested the global market for top-end jewellery and watches has a positive outlook.Among the brands included in Richemont is Cartier, with reports stating that a steady improvement has been occurring in the global market since last summer. The group told the Financial Times: "The group's results in the first half of this year will inevitably benefit from the improved performance that we are currently seeing." Key areas of particular growth in the final quarter included the US and Asia. So far 2004 has also proved positive with sales for April and May rising by 23 per cent and 21 per cent accordingly.
