Consumers throwing gold down the panMonday, 7th June 2004 (3915 views) A new study has revealed that earrings and watches are among the most common objects lost down the toilet by members of the public.In addition a quarter of participants revealed that they had lost jewellery down the toilet, according to the Scotsman. The study was run by Thames Water and found that one man even lost his wedding ring as he flushed the chain whilst on honeymoon. The survey was run in conjunction with World Environment Day and was a bid to raise awareness of household items being tipped down the drain.
