Movie star and governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's wife has launched her own jewellery line in the US.

A range of items including charm bracelets, key chains, money clips and cuff links are all designed featuring a range of Californian landmarks.

Reportedly the collection was inspired by a piece of jewellery Maria Shriver wore recently which gained huge amounts of attention and has been created by designer Jill Schiff.

Ms Schiff told San Jose Mercury News: "It's totally Maria's doing. She just felt it would have a long shelf life and appeal to a lot of people."

The Maria Shriver California Jewellery Collection is handmade and part of the proceeds will go to the California State Protocol Fund.

Items from the collection are available from $18 to $170.
