New jewellery items combine designers' interests for innovative collection

Wednesday, 28th April 2004 (4511 views)

An innovative new jewellery collection combining a host of different styles has been launched by designer Zina Ann Kao.

The handcrafted jewellery contains items that are modern, feminine, fresh and gutsy.

Designs incorporate beads and precious metals and aim to reflect the 'music and movement of everyday life'.

Ms Kao and her partner Wayne manage to produce items that are delicate without being fragile and structured without looking rigid, reportedly due to the fact they both come from a technical background.

Combining both their interests, some items are more focused on colour, combinations and different forms, whilst others create an impact.

Current items included in the collection which ranges from $38 to $400, are a citrine hexagon, clover shaped garnet and loop teardrop earrings.
