Indian jewellery sees golden move towards light and trendy

Friday, 2nd April 2004 (4205 views)

Gold jewellery trends are moving towards more light and trendy designs in India.

The growing trend has been highlighted at the recent Mehrasons exhibition held at the Taj Bengal this week, according to The Telegraph India.

The Delhi jeweller showcased its new Kasmia collection made up of white gold items set off with a range of varied diamonds such as black, champagne and coffee.

Prices for the items begin at R20,000 but reportedly consumers are not put off by the prices for the range of rings and earrings.

The jeweller was first set up six months ago and due to such success plans are now underway to launch a store in Calcutta soon.
