Cookson Group is in talks with advisers to sell its precious metals business.<BR/><BR/>The electronics and ceramics engineer is reportedly planning to sell the business since it sees it as the least vital and finds the demand for gold too temperamental.<BR/><BR/>Reports suggest the company's precious metals sector could sell for as much as £100 million. <BR/><BR/>A number of private equity companies have already revealed they are interested in purchasing the business.<BR/><BR/>At present the company provides precious metals to high profile customers such as Tiffany. <BR/><BR/>Sale decisions are set to go on into the summer.
