Oscar stars were using gold to promote good causes as well as to set fashion trends at this year's prestigious awards ceremony.<BR/><BR/>Adorning glamourous and 'Old Hollywood' style suits and gowns, the pin designed for celebrities comes in either 18-karat white or yellow gold.<BR/><BR/>The Dove of peace pin first appeared on the red carpet last year and is designed by Henry Dunay.<BR/><BR/>However, members of the public can purchase a different lower priced edition of the Global Vision for Peace custom-made pin, which is the designer's version of Picasso's Dove of Peace.<BR/><BR/>The pin is priced at $900 and was seen on stars such as Chris Cooper, Ben Kingsley and Benicio Del Toro. Reportedly Drew Barrymore wore her's when she was appointed a member of the Artists for the UN.<BR/><BR/>Gold played a big part in this year's Oscar ceremony, with goodie bags including jewellery made from the precious metal and Hollywood celebrities using gold ornaments and jewellery to add extra glamour to their outfits.
