Thursday, 26th February 2004 (7598 views) Current jewellery trends in America are being linked to the fashion styles and innovative combinations on hit program Sex & The City.<BR/><BR/>Ultra feminine outfits and accessories are continuing to dominate the high street as glamour and glitz are now in, even though in America the show has now ended.<BR/><BR/>Since the escapades of Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda hit the screens, women in the US have reportedly become more feminine and taken much more interest in a 'girly' appearance.<BR/><BR/>Setting off their outfits, accessories such as gold jewellery have become more widely used and adapted to create unique or lady-like looks.<BR/><BR/>Constance White, fashion consultant for online auctioneer eBay, told the Philadelphia Inquirer: 'It has been slowly growing for many seasons. We've seen it as accessories have become more important.'<BR/><BR/>Looks that would have previously been deemed inappropriate, for example in the workplace, are now on show everywhere.<BR/><BR/>'Women learned to use fashion to show off their individuality. Women saw [the characters] customize their looks; they kept embracing and embracing it,' Julian, a trend forecaster for Fallon Worldwide, a New York-based advertising agency added.
