Cartier unveils new gold jewelleryFriday, 20th February 2004 (4749 views) Proving popular within fashion, gold is being used to target a different market in a new range by Cartier.Aiming at a younger market, Cartier has revealed a new jewellery collection, which offers its usual high style and quality goods for a lower cost than normal. Within the reach of young people, Olaf van Cleef of Cartier described the new range of trinkets on a recent trip in Calcutta. The range, which is not gender specific, includes gold jewellery items such as a safety pin in white or yellow gold featuring a clasp decorated with Cartier's signature initial. Items are reportedly available for between 4,000 to 20,000, but some can be obtained for as little as 600 according to The Telegraph India. Items have been designed with the aim of moving away from the traditional themes of love and constancy, according to Mr van Cleef, and along with influences from India, military is a new theme for the collection.
