Friday, 6th February 2004 (5944 views) Thailand's gold, jewellery and gem industries are set to get a boost with further high profile events being announced in Bangkok's Fashion City project.<BR/><BR/>A fashion show featuring German super model Nadja Auermann will mark the launch of the project aimed at boosting Bangkok's profile as an international fashion destination.<BR/><BR/>The project will receive further promotion with the planned Fashion Extravaganza Parade due to take place on February 15. Organisers say the event will combine a huge parade with a fashion show.<BR/><BR/>The fashion houses Louis Vitton, Christian Dior, Channel and Miss Sixty have all been invited.<BR/><BR/>It is hoped the event will attract more international appreciation of Thailand as an Asian fashion hub and a centre for gold and jewellery.
