Next week will see world class operation Louis Vuitton enjoy its 150th birthday, with a range of celebrations and commemorative activities planned.

A recognisable name in gold jewellery, the leather goods company has already started celebrating with a gigantic re-creation of the house's gold lettered chocolate brown travelling trunk.

Founded in 1854 by the son of a carpenter, Louis Vuitton has always demanded the highest quality helping lead to its rise in the field of fashion with its prestigious clientele.

Total revenue for the company was close to €3 billion in 2003, with an increase in its operating margin to 45 per cent.

As well as offering a whole host of fashion goods, Louis Vuitton boasts a high quality fashionable jewellery range.

Current gold jewellery items from the house include the new Suhali range, gold monogram bracelets, gold heart pendants and a range of gold charms.
